Shirazi Salad Tips

Tip #1 : De-seed the tomatoes to get best results. The Roma tomatoes have a lot of water content, especially when they are diced. If you have the time, remove the seeds and toss them in a soup.

Tip #2 : If you wash the skin of the cucumber, you don’t need to peel them

Tip #3 : For this salad, do not use a food processor to chop vegetables. The veggies will then become soggy

Tip #4 : The smaller you dice the veggies, the better. The smaller you cut the cucumbers and tomatoes into small pieces, the more surface area you are creating for the herbs.

Add the dressing just before you serve. The veggies get soddy when kept for longer in the fridge when the dressing because of the citrus and salt

Chilling the salad makes for great taste. A couple of hours will reduce the temperature to a delicious cool. It gives the salad two hours for the dressing to deliver it’s magic
